Description:Contrary to the normal method of replacing a site, Comet Backup wanted to gradually phase their old site out page by page (with the exception of global elements). With the site having been built with vanilla PHP (no frameworks used), this was quite a viable option as opposed to the kind of struggle that would ensue when attempting the same task with a WordPress theme. I don't run in to too many PHP sites that were built without a framework, so this was a refreshing change. Much of the content is static, however there are some interesting aspects to the site and development process such as the router, the navigation menu controller, Docker and Gulp.
The subject matter is also very interesting. Comet Backup are doing some pretty inspiring things in my eyes.
